I have a Siemens NCDR-1522CDB and when I press the keypad and press the "search" button, I get a code appearing on the display. The display says, "TEST AIM" on the display and then one of the following codes: ;1.TEST AIM ;2.POWER OFF ;3.OK. .

We do not recommend removing the rear cover unless your radio is in its original box and sealed, like it came from the manufacturer. .
