This one is from back in the day when default camera apps on most smartphones used to be barebones and you needed an app that could capture good selfies with colorful filters. Candy Camera is mainly for selfies and specifically for those who love posting their pictures onto Instagram or other social media apps.

The portrait sample has been taken by a selfie camera whose entire module literally sits under the display panel, so quite obviously the image quality must be compared to under display FFC solutions or regular FFCs on other smartphones, not a freaking dedicated camera.
@DGCA03, the "sample" presented in this article is just a low resolution photo taken by a tiny UNDER DISPLAY selfie camera and not supposed to be compared to portrait photos taken by a dedicated camera or a main camera of a phone in terms of image quality. You're entirely missing the point.
@DGCA03, it's a selfie camera that sits under the display, so the image quality is not the highest priority. The sample does not represent the performance of main cameras on smartphones and of course they are already better than whatever is shown in this article, so it's pointless to base your opinion on the sample alone.
The swivel camera on the N1 was a really nice idea that allowed it to have the same quality for selfies as for normal shots. The motorized swivel on the N3 was really meh and a step backwards from the manual swivel in multiple ways.
